Denial of Rowland records forces FOI complaint

The New Haven Register and The Register Citizen filed a complaint with the State Freedom of Information Commission Friday afternoon over the city of Waterbury’s refusal to release documents related to former Gov. John Rowland‘s work as a taxpayer-funded economic development coordinator.

Media balks, then plug pulled on FOI change

The administration of Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and legislators agreed Tuesday morning to scrap legislation that would have given the executive branch wide discretion to withhold information tied to private companies seeking state economic development assistance.
