New investigations editor named in Connecticut

Viktoria Sundqvist, former editor of The Middletown Press, has been named investigations editor for Central Connecticut. Her primary focus will be Freedom of Information issues and open records. She will write for The Middletown Press and The Register Citizen, and will lead training initiatives for the public and the staff in Freedom of Information issues. She will also be posting regularly to this blog.
This is another big step for Journal Register Company newspapers in Connecticut toward building their newsrooms around the key areas of breaking news, community engagement and investigative and in-depth reporting.
